Residence: With his Uncle Thorir's family above the main store of Thorsonn's Hardware.

Occupation: Intern at Architectural company in Locke

Reincarnated History:

Filbert was a child of mixed heritages. His mother Eydis was of Icelandic descent, the youngest of four children while his father Phineas was an American, the middle child of three. Her parents immigrated to America before she was born, but she spent many happy summers as a child in Iceland. His parents met while Eydis was in university studying interior design, they fell in love and got married. They had four children, with the elder three being girls and Filbert was born 10 years after they married. Both of his parents have a large extended family in which they tried to keep in touch with as much as possible with visits, phone calls and emails. Her Icelandic heritage was important to Eydis, so all her children got a smattering of schooling in Icelandic culture and language and their names also followed Icelandic naming traditions. Filbert blamed this tradition (and suspected his father was drunk or high that night he was born) when he was given his name, Filbert Phineasson. He refused to answer to that name and goes by Fil instead as the name caused him no end of trouble when he was a child as it invited teasing and bullying for being ‘different’.

The youngest of four children and the only boy, he was somewhat coddled and fussed over by his older sisters and mother. He was a friendly and easy-going child by nature, so despite his unfortunate name he did have some friends to whom he was very loyal to and still stayed in contact even now that they've grown up and moved apart. Fil worked hard at school and was able to get into a good university on scholarship, having decided to pursue a career as an architect, with an eye on eventually joining his father’s architectural firm. At 21, he’s finished university with an bachelor’s degree and has found an internship with an architectural firm in Locke. And it just so happens that his uncle Thorir lives in Locke and has a free guestroom for the taking. Filbert’s reluctant, mostly because he wanted to break free from family for a while but was convinced after a talk that touched on the following points: look at how expensive it is to live alone these days, you’ll be stuck in a cramped basement room while I have a spacious guestroom all ready for you and don’t you like your family any more?
